May 15th

My Dear Friend Lorain,
I hope this letter finds you well. Sorry for not writing back sooner, things have not been going so well for us here. Daddy had been hoping to have us all ready to move by the end of the month. We currently are nowhere near being ready, we don't even have a clue as to where we might move to. The biggest concern I have is for the animals. By the time we got the cats they were too old to be declawed, and most of the rentals aren't allowing for them even if they are. There also seems to be a growing trend against caged animals as well, in the area. So there is a good chance that we won't be able to take the rabbits either. We really don't have the money to impound any of them either. Daddy's talking about letting them lose if we can't find proper homes for them. Mama disagrees though, she thinks Daddy will just have to put them down. Normally I would agree with Daddy, especially when it comes to the cats. This time, however I think Mama might be the one who's right. The cats are too adjusted to life indoors. Daisy panics if she accidentally ends up outside. My little rabbit, Peanut doesn't seem  to know how to drink water from a bowl. How would she know where to find water outside? She might hop past clean water, only to drink something poisonous when she gets thirsty enough. I could go on and on about all the terrible things that could happen to them.
I feel so useless in all of this too. Last time I wrote to you, I complained that I wasn't getting any work at the Boutique. Well let's just say that things haven't changed. I'm still searching for work elsewhere, but fear that it may be too late for that. This weather hasn't helped one bit either. It has been so cloudy, and wet that my mood has begun to turn grey on me. Anyways, I do apologize for the gloomy update. I'm just feeling at wits end at the moment, and needed to tell someone.

Your Friend,
~Lynn
